Terms of Service
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of ProxyCat ("Service"), provided by Shadow Moon Labs ("we," "us," or "our"). By downloading, installing, or using ProxyCat, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Use of the Service
ProxyCat is an HTTP/HTTPS intercepting proxy tool intended for authorized testing, debugging, and development of software systems you own or have explicit permission to test. You agree to use ProxyCat only for lawful purposes and in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
You must not use ProxyCat to:
- Intercept traffic on systems, networks, or devices you do not own or do not have explicit authorization to test.
- Capture, store, or transmit credentials, personal data, or sensitive information belonging to third parties without consent.
- Violate any applicable privacy laws, including GDPR, CCPA, or HIPAA.
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or modify the Service beyond what is permitted by applicable law.
- Resell or sublicense access to the Service without written permission.
2. Accounts and Licenses
Certain features require a ProxyCat account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You agree to provide accurate information and to notify us promptly of any unauthorized account access.
A new Pro desktop license costs $69 per user once, includes 12 months of updates and permits up to three device activations for one person. The $49 launch offer runs for 60 days from the announced public-download launch date; checkout displays the active price and deadline. Each teammate needs their own license. An eligible purchased release remains Pro when the update period ends. New releases after the cutoff require an optional $39 purchase of another 12 months of updates, starting from the current cutoff or renewal date, whichever is later. Update purchases never renew automatically. Prices are in USD.
Existing subscriptions. Previously purchased subscriptions and trials retain their disclosed billing terms; this new offer does not cancel or convert them automatically. Manage or cancel those subscriptions through the billing portal. Sign out on an old install before transferring its activation; an offline saved license cannot be remotely invalidated immediately. Initial activation, device transfers and retrieval of updated licenses require the account service. Keep a copy of your license and eligible release installer.
3. Refund Policy
Purchase and update-renewal fees are non-refundable except where required by law or at our discretion. If something went wrong with your purchase, contact support@proxycat.app. A full refund revokes the corresponding entitlement on the account service; a refunded update renewal does not revoke an unrefunded original license. Refund and cancellation rights required by applicable law are unaffected.
4. Intellectual Property
ProxyCat and all related software, documentation, and content are the property of Shadow Moon Labs. Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of any intellectual property to you. The free tier binary is provided for personal and commercial use under these Terms.
5. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE ERROR-FREE OR UNINTERRUPTED.
6. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR DATA, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.
7. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time for violation of these Terms. You may cancel your subscription at any time. Termination does not entitle you to a refund except as described in Section 3.
8. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or by posting a notice in the application. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
9. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which Shadow Moon Labs is established, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
